The Global Grant Writers Collective provides a step-by-step system to help individuals build a career in grant writing as grant writing professionals. The Collective is a year-long membership that includes online instructional videos, community, and coaching to teach individuals a step-by-step system for building a flexible career in grant writing.
Why I Choose The Global Grant Writers Collective
I had no idea it was possible to maintain and even create a career as a freelance grant writer until I found Learn Grant Writing (LGW). I wanted a way to make a difference in the world and pay my bills after I lost my job in 2020. I also wanted to continue living abroad, which meant finding a remote job. Scouring the internet for a program, I found LGW through YouTube. I joined because of the instructional method, leadership, community, and brand identity–unicorns really are a blessing :)
The content within the course is powerful and relevant to grant writing in 2022 unlike other certification programs that seem dated. The feedback structure through the twice monthly coaching calls (live workshops) is comforting. I had NO PRIOR experience of writing grants. To me, access to a professional in the field of grant writing to directly answer questions and moderate concerns during the pivot into a new career was worth every penny.

Because of the Collective, I established my own consulting business. I contracted my first client within one month of joining EVEN before I finished the course, and I had three paid Funding Strategies within the first three months. Ten months into the Collective, I hit $50,000k in revenue and moved to Casablanca, Morocco in celebration! Through the Collective, I’ve met members across the globe, collaborated on passion projects, and even found unique grant leads.
My Favorite Parts About The Global Grant Writers Collective
The Collective emulates my favorite parts of learning in a university setting–lectures; community; assignments; access to a professional answering my very real questions–but I get to do the work in my pajamas at home for a fraction of the price.
More than anything, the Collective taught me how to value my work and lead from within. I’m no longer afraid or ashamed to price my services while working in the nonprofit sector. I have an entirely different perspective on business and what it means to make a difference in the world. I would recommend the Collective to anyone looking for professional grant writing training, but more than that, for anyone seeking a shake-up in the status quo of work, service and the nonprofit scarcity mentality.
